2. DOGLOVER
We adopted a new furry soul this past year! His name is Benji and he is wonderful! There is not a sweeter little guy. His jaw was shattered so his tongue hangs out, but Blanca loves him tremendously! Little Bella accepts him but he’s so hyper it freaks her out at times but truly she barely accepts any of us!
I started putting him on the float with the girls as a team building exercise in friendship. We also have the occasional swim sessions so we can make sure they all know how to get out at the stairs. Benji, BenBen, Benny, Benjamen Buttons…we call him everything! He is such a special little blessing in our lives!

This is me attempting to teach Blanca to observe nature and not interfere and bark at it. Don’t let the blond hair fool you… she is an Alpha female so she wants to chase and dominate everyone and everything.
4. ISLAND LOVER
If we had millions and didn’t work…we would have a small place in Maui to live part of the year. My soul belongs there. When it became evident that planning the perfect Italian vacation was a better idea for next year, we decided on Maui again at the last minute. This photo was taken at Mama’s Fish House just before a romantic seaside dinner!
This dress had come in at Johnny Was The Woodlands and I decided she would be perfect for Maui. Of course there was that moment when a woman in a black t-shirt and white jeans walked by and said, “…not every woman could pull that look off…” to which my husband and I laughed at her dis, and went on with our day! Last I checked it was an island and I was on vacation. Bitter unhappy people kill me sometimes. The #RESORT2018 post was my favorite this past year!

Anyone who thinks they know my husband, would be shocked to know that he adores rainbows and must pull over and take photos whenever her sees one! We had sort of a photo competition when trying to photograph this one on the way back from Hana on Maui! I think this is the best rainbow I’ve ever seen. God is good!

9. ECLECTICISM
I do what I want . I wear what I want. I am who I want to be. With fashion and styling…I have fun. Eclecticism is a natural state for me. Vince Camuto booties, with a silk kimono from #johnnywasthewoodlands , a Texas girl belt, Prada bag, leather cuffs, Quay sunglasses and probably no bra….that’s me. I have no box. Perfectly perfect is not my thing because that’s too hard. Perfectly fun makes more sense. It’s easier. Bold is good. The other day, I ran into a friend while getting something loaded into my trunk at Academy. She had on a sweat shirt, I had on velvet and heels…we looked at each other and laughed. I really am this person. I like that my friends and my husband let me be me.
10. BIRTHDAY GIRL
I turned 50 years old on December 28th! In the rule book of life, it says you are supposed to throw a party for anyone turning 50, so I did! It was so much fun! Even my dad came and remarked that it was the best party he had ever been to! I realized that it is so cool to have a house full of people who actually like you and you like them. In life, we deal all day with those we must tolerate. I have not posted a blog yet or shared photos, but I will!
For a couple of years, I kept to myself a lot and did not make time for people. I realized that most people didn’t know why.
One day, I was sitting in a parked car at the bank, and another car ran into me. When you are in a car that is locked up in park, the impact is not cushioned. It actually snaps twice. It lunges forward, yet snaps back harshly and your seat beat does not work. I had a headache for a solid 6 week period immediately following the impact and then it was downhill from there. I didn’t have the youngest, fittest neck to begin with since I was about 47 already when it happened. I had whiplash so bad that just getting to work and functioning was my primary priority.
I finally realized that I needed to really verbalize to people what I was dealing with, because I was told that my isolationist behavior was hurtful to others. I explained in detail the seriousness of my injury and I immediately felt so much relief. Friends appreciated knowing why I was not interested in doing a lot of extracurricular activities. Although some people at work knew, it’s not the kind of thing that you call up your corporate office and discuss. Actually, some people might…but that’s not me. The people I worked with knew I was suffering but I didn’t really make it super clear to a lot of people why I was MIA at certain events. Lack of sleep and neck pain was zapping my extra energy but after all of that suffering, I am starting to see light!
My party was a gift to friends, an opportunity for my husband to meet people that I’ve known for years and it was me re-inviting people into my life. As for my blog…. I never really explained the issue to any depth because I saw a blogger do that month after month and it became draining on me hearing about her lack of sleep over her health issue. It sucked the joy out of the blog. I didn’t want to be that. Blogs are supposed to be fun and uplifting damn it! People and love are the meaning are life so I want to work on that aspect of my life this year and be more present! My little party was the beginning of a new chapter and I am so happy with my little circle of friends!

I got to brush up on my MUA skills to snap shots of my cousin for Bosscat Beauty lashes! I love how she turned out! Beauty isn’t about just looks, but it’s about the person.
12. HOMEBODY
I was home a lot in my spare time this past year! I had different projects going on and I enjoy being a loner. My dogs are my heart and I suppose it’s possible that I spend too much time with them because I catch myself having conversations with them these days!
I had a skin cancer issue (thanks probably to the good old days when I hit the tanning bed after each trip to the gym)… so these days I try to cover up somewhat. Tan on young skin is hot, on older skin it just looks like leather, just sayin.
This cover up was from #johnnywasthewoodlands and I actually ended up buying two! I wear it as a swim cover or a top! The design is timeless and it’s flattering – what else is there?
I truly look forward to 2019…to blogging, working, growing, loving and spending time with people of good heart.

Hi Everyone! Today I want to share with you something that I recently tried…and that is Smile Brilliant Teeth Whitening!
First, let me give you a brief history. You see, I am a freak about teeth! I was not born with fabulous teeth and I always found it super depressing when I would see people with gorgeous, white, healthy-looking teeth! If you have a tan, your teeth automatically look whiter. I am pale which in my mind meant that my teeth needed to be more white than the average person.
Not only were my teeth naturally an off-white color, and they were not the healthiest and I never had great enamel. That said, I can honestly say that I have spent more than $25,000 on teeth issues over the years! Depressing! getting your teeth healthy is one thing, but it also helps if they are white.
These days, I drink a lot of coffee. I used to drink it with a straw to keep from getting my teeth stained. Here in the past few years I sort of gave up the fight and didn’t pay too much attention and had not attempted to bleach in years! It would always seem that the sensitivity was an issue since my enamel was so thin.
When I got an offer to try out Smile Brilliant, I jumped at the opportunity but assumed I would have an issue with sensitive teeth.
They send you a box that has the items needed to make your own impressions. That was fun and easy, and within a couple of weeks of sending them off, I received another package with my custom-fitted trays! The trays fit my teeth perfectly. When you put the whitening gel in the tray, I assumed sensitivity would occur. It did not! I guess the gel stays pretty much on your teeth and shouldn’t touch the gums very much. However it works, I had no problem and have not even used the sensitivity products yet because I have not needed it!
After the first whitening session, I could see a huge difference! The other thing I am excited about is that since I believe in animal-free products with no animal testing…this company has the same philosophy! Cosmetic surgery is so interesting these days because results are so much better now than they were 20 years ago! Since I am 49, I could see reaching a point in the near future in which new, firm, round, high boobs could be a thing for me. Still thinking about it. These days, some people choose to jump on a cheap flight to Mexico to get cheap plastic surgery and implants, which I really wouldn’t recommend. I had a friend who was in the hospital for 3 months after returning home with a infection that almost killed her after her. She had a huge medical bill for $100,000 and learned her lesson. It didn’t turn out to be a cheap procedure after all! My advice to anyone after that ordeal, is to go to a quality medical practice that can give great aftercare!
There are many different types of implants, as my friend learned after having 3 breast implant procedures. She was never happy with what she had selected because she had not done enough research. With implants, it’s better to educate yourself first on exactly what you’re getting and what the expected, realistic outcome will be.
Implant Types Explained
Whether you’re considering a breast implant of a cheek implants, there are many different types of implants that you should be aware of. Having a firm understanding of each implant type before you request one of these procedures should assist you in selecting the implant that best fits your needs, as each implant is decidedly different from the others.
Types of Breast Implants
The two primary types of breast implants include saline implants and silicone implants, both of which have their own unique advantages. Although you will have the ultimate decision about which type of breast implant you decide to get, it’s important to understand that you will likely receive a recommendation from your plastic surgeon about which of the two would most benefit you.
Saline Implants: These are breast implants that are filled with sterile salt water. When they are first inserted, they are entirely empty. It is only when they are in place that they are filled with the salt water. These implants are typically available to be used for any woman who is 18 years of age or older. The shell of the implant is made from a more solid silicone substance.
Silicone Implants: This is a type of breast implant that is constructed with the usage of silicone gel, which is a thick and sticky substance that is designed to feel similar to human fat in order to mimic the feel of standard breasts. These implants are made and filled before inserted into the breast. These implants are generally available for women of 22 years of age or older. This is a type of inert polymer substance that does not cause any type of allergies or adverse reactions, which means that it is safe to use.
No matter which of the two types of breast implants you select, each of them consist of a silicone shell. The surface of this shell can either be textured or smooth. Smooth implants are designed to mimic the movements that occur with a natural breast while textured implants are designed to keep the implant more secure. Both of these implants come with a wide variety of projection amounts, fill volumes, and base widths. A saline implant can also be filled to the exact size that you want it to be.
Types of Facial Implants
There are a wide variety of different facial implants offered at the Plastic Surgery Institute in Miami. The most common facial implants are found in the chin, cheek, and jaw, allowing you to slightly alter the appearance of these areas of your face. While the administration of facial implants is an elective procedure that’s entirely up to you, your plastic surgeon will be able to offer you a recommendation about which implant would suit you well. All facial implant procedures can be performed under either general anesthesia or local anesthesia.
Chin Implants: These implants come in a wide range of different styles that allow for horizontal adjustments, vertical adjustments, or square width adjustments. Once the implant is inserted into the chin, it is then secured directly to the bone by either small screws or sutures. While this procedure may sound extensive, the provision of chin implants takes 30 minutes to an hour at most.
Cheek Implants: These implants are designed mainly to provide an augmentation to the cheekbone or the area directly underneath the cheekbone. The style of implant that you select can have a substantial effect on how your cheekbone appearance changes once the implants have been placed there. The incisions for these implants occur on the cheek just under the positioning of the upper lip. In the event that you are receiving eyelid surgery at the same time, these implants can be installed through the eyelid. Depending on the exact effect that you are going for, these implants can be placed at the front of your cheekbone or at the back along the tail of the cheekbone. This procedure can take upwards of an hour to perform.
Jaw Implants: These implants are designed to augment a portion of the jaw. The augmentations can be small or substantial. For instance, one type of jaw implant can widen your jaw while another can lengthen the jaw in order to provide you with a jaw that is more defined and stronger. The incisions with this type of implant occur in the mouth just behind the molars. In many instances, the implants will need to be secured directly to the jaw, typically with the usage of small screws. Jaw implants are oftentimes combined with chin implants. The procedure can take anywhere from 1-2 hours to complete depending on how extensive it is.
Types of Buttock Implants
Brazilian Butt Lift: While a standard Brazilian butt lift usually involves the placement of fat from one area of the body within the buttocks, an implant can also be used in order to provide more definition to this area of the body. The implants are made from solid silicone materials, which can be tailored to match your specific preferences in regards to the size, shape, and texture of the implant in question. The placement of the incisions largely depends on how large the implant is, as these incisions can be placed in various areas around the butt. This procedure is one of the more extensive plastic surgery procedures available and can take around 2-3 hours to perform.

I truly miss my blog when I don’t have time to tinker around with it! With the lash line, there’s so much upkeep with the Bosscat Beauty website, as well as my husband’s business that my little blog gets lost in the shuffle.
I recently read an article someone had written about why a blog can be good for your life…and I agreed with a lot of what was written.
Instead of me articulating what someone else has already written and shared with the universe, here is the very interesting link…https://www.becomingminimalist.com/15-reasons-i-think-you-should-blog/ . People always ask why I have a blog and I think that’s a great article to point people to. Then of course…people always tell me that they should start a blog, but if you’re a person who isn’t able to keep a schedule a make a daily list and actually follow through, then don’t bother.
Over time, my initial reasons for starting the blog, have changed. But the article is correct in that blogging does make you live a more intentional lifestyle. Less time is wasted, and personal quiet time is planned better. If there’s a gardening project or a room to remodel, you have the world (in theory) to share the finished project with so it makes you strive to do a better job in all areas!
If you discover something – as in my case, CBD oil for pain – it makes me want to share my thoughts or discoveries with people other than with my immediate, tiny circle. (My circle is shrinking because I finally realized that those who impact us negatively have no place in the circle.)
While I am not the most interesting woman on the planet, that’s ok. It’s not about that. Blogs are about reality. Whatever that may be. In my case, reality was another simple Sunday together so after brunch, we went to the park to feed the ducks and then off we were to the grocery store. Of course< he wanders off like a bad 5 year old so don’t think we’re holding hands and skipping together up and down the isles.
“You’re wearing your boots again?” he asks as we leave the house. he knows I love these “Jilted” boots from Dan Post, and he only says this to torture me. “Yes. What’s the problem? Are you the boot police? Do you need to micro manage my shoe choices?” It’s taken me years to realize that he just talks to engage me in conversation. Again, like a bad child that constantly asks questions they don’t really care about. They do it to engage with others.
He doesn’t like anything too heavy. Money, financial planning and tennis are his favorite topics while the Deep State crime lords, Alex Jones and the current Q threads on 8chan are my current favorite topics. Reality is too insane for most so here we stick to clothing and lashes.
