SIX SHOTS: FEBRUARY 2013

SIX SHOTS

 February two thousand thirteen

Another February has come and gone and most of us survived.  February is full of hopes, dreams and possibly just an additional highlight to deep rooted never ending feelings of loneliness and despair…but hey, everyone’s case study is different!

The flowers above were from my husband and were used in two blog posts. One was My Valentine’s Letter to You , which is on Ashley Elizabeth’s site and the other is Happy Valentine’s Day to All!

This is a shot from The Woodland’s Waterway area, after going to dinner (and taking the dogs so they could sit outside with us.)  It was a beautiful night, and we just walked around and took a break from life to relax and live.

This is a picture that I like because it looks retro-ish to me and because my husband took it!  It was extremely windy and we had fun taking a few minutes to shoot the Texas Girl post and he is learning so much about photography.

At times, I wish that Jazzy had thumbs so she could take some of the pictures, but I’ve got to work with what I have! He loves doing it so his heart is helping his skill set to grow!

He also did a great job with this one and he wanted it on the Six Shots post!  It looks professional, you can see clearly and it’s not about the person in the shot, it’s about the look. The shot is from the Winter White and Michael Kors post.

This is a beautiful shot of a spot that we love at our church. It’s a beautiful garden area with an amazing fountain and it’s a place that’s special to us.  We sometimes have to go to church on Saturday nights, and the cross always looks amazing at sunset!

I went to a new Apartment Community last week to take pictures and check it out for my Texas based Apartment Locating Business.

One of the things I love about helping people find new places, is getting to see the models and club houses and how they are decorated!

This one is amazing and I love the colors so I’d wanted to share! (And yes…just this once, there are seven shots!)

And the last one, is again from a Valentine’s fashion post! It’s soft and pink and I love it! (And yes, just this once, there are seven shots! I couldn’t help myself!)

WINTER WHITE and MICHAEL KORS

What exactly is the term winter white reserved for? The best I can tell…is anything is any shade of white that you wear during the winter! I used to think it was a creme hue but I’ve seen things in nurse white labeled as “winter” so I gave up trying to assess the true and legal description.  It’s winter and I am wearing a thick jacquard suit and coat in white, thereby making it winter white to me!

I met a certain tennis instructor for a quick burger today in Old Town Spring, before heading out to take some photos of a new Apartment Community  I want to list with my Apartment Locating Business.

I also had a few more stops to make but I love Old Town Spring, which is just outside of The Woodlands area and just three minutes from home!

The weather changes drastically sometimes from one day to the next and today was cold and wet.  I did finally change out bags and get to use my new black Michael Kors saddle bag , the Stanthorpe.

I adore the bag because I feel like the design is general enough to withstand years of fashion tides.

This bag is large enough to even carry a tablet but not so heavy that it can collect everything I own and end up weighing 30 pounds.

As far as what may be coming up here in the future? Well the master bathroom re-vamp is just getting under way, there is an art d-i-y on the way as well as some cool perfect product finds for hair and face! So that’s what’s up! So come back to check it out!                  s

ANIMAL PRINT LIFE

ANIMAL PRINT Life

tube dress and trench by Cache, bag by Michael Kors, glasses by Prada

Animal prints are a timeless and fun classic that will never die!  Wearing it, to me, is a way of hanging on to the rebel inside.

While I wouldn’t advise wearing it to a court date or a job interview, it’s appropriate in just about every other realm.

Although the dress is a strapless tube, if the trench is on over it, it gives it a more reserved look. There is also a pair of matching pants, in a previous blog.

The pink suede heels add some modern pop to the look.

As far as the new black streaks in my hair go, I was concerned about wearing a print, and that it would look too crazy with too much going on, but they are subtle and do not stand out too much.
